Exhibition Millet
The Millet and District Museum and Archives is located in Millet, Alberta in the Town Administration Building. The museum acts as a way to maintain, preserve, further develop, and expand Millet’s cultural resources. Millet and District Museum is governed by the MIllet and District Historical Society and has a large collection of artifacts in total approximately 12,800. The collection includes a school kiosk which features a school bell from the first Millet school. On display the museum is featuring firsthand oral histories of what it was like to go to school in the one room schools around Millet. Millet and District Museum also displays portraits of Millet and District veterans from both the First and Second World Wars they are displayed on a commemorative wall that includes 300 photographs with their service information and an accompanying mural showing army, air force, and navy personnel.
