The Embassy of Canada

The Embassy of Canada in Washington, D. C. is Canada’s main diplomatic mission to the United States. The Embassy, unveiled in 1989 by Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, houses 13 Canadian federal government agencies and employs over 250 Canadian and locally engaged staff. The current Ambassador is David MacNaughton, who assumed office on March 3, 2016.

The Embassy is also home to an Art Gallery that hosts Canadian artists, organizations and exhibitions throughout the year. The gallery was created to share Canada’s rich history with the world while highlighting the incredible breadth of talent found within our country.
