From Vimy to Juno Visits the Musée acadien

The Juno Beach Centre in Canada was happy to welcome visitors to the From Vimy to Juno exhibition on Thursday, September 22 at an Open House hosted by the Musée acadien de l'Université de Moncton. Remarks were made by André Samson, the Vice-Chancellor of the Université de Moncton,  Marthe Brideau, Chief Librarian and Director of the Musée acadien, and David Benoit from the Juno Beach Team.

We were especially honoured to welcome Acadian veteran Frédéric Bourgeois and his family. He recently received the Légion d’Honneur from the French Republic for his service on D-Day and during the Second World War. We were also honoured to welcome the MacNaughton family - descendants of John ''Archie'' MacNaughton, a Canadian soldier who fought in both World Wars and who is featured in the exhibition. Thank you for allowing us to share Archie's story!

Our sincerest thanks goes out to Jeanne Mance Cormier and the team at the Musée acadien for hosting us at this fantastic event. From Vimy to Juno will be on display at the Musée until October 9. For more information visit our Exhibitions page.
