Notes For Educators

Add historical events to the timeline that reflect the interest of your school, community, and province’s history in the First World War.

Establishing groups is an important first step to this lesson and will help to create smaller learning committees inside your classroom’s learning community.

There are many ways to construct a timeline as a class. This lesson explores one way to do this in a more collaborative way, but it may be created by students independently, or even through presentation.

This is a very low tech approach to building a collaborative timeline. Websites like Google Docs, and Tiki Toki can build timelines digitally and collaboratively.
