Exhibition Calgary
The Military Museums of Calgary is the largest tri-service museum in Western Canada and the second largest military museum in Canada next to the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. Formally called the Museum of the Regiments, the MMC was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1990 and was made up of four museums featuring the history of four Alberta based regiments. Since expanding in 2009, the Military Museums now consists of eight distinct museums and galleries under one roof: the Naval, Army and Air Force Museums of Alberta, the four regimental army museums, and The Military Museums Library and Archives.
The Military Museums strives to preserve and honour the memory of countless Canadians who proudly served their country through permanent and temporary exhibitions, public tours, and a wide variety of educational programs and activities.
For more information regarding tours and educational programs, please consult The Military Museums website at www.themilitarymuseums.ca or contact the Museum directly at 403-410-2340.
